The old objects speak to us
Our
youngest pupils who study History in English participated in the
installation of a small ethnological museum in our school. They
brought the objects and a short explanation of them in three
languages: Spanish, Valencian and English.
Everyday
objects which tells us about their makers and their users, items
which evoke feelings, sounds, smells… Our exhibition consisted of
more than one hundred ancient objects that explain our recent past.
The
activity has had positive impact and a rich learning experience for
all concerned.

Trip to Madrid
Every
year, all the students who study in the multilingual programme of our
school (about 110) participate in
a special activity at the beginning of the course.
This
time we decided to organize a day trip to Madrid. We wake up very
early to take our buses because El Prado museum was waiting for us.
There,
all the pupils, in groups, asked some questions to the tourists about
our country. After that, they visited the museum.
Then
we went to La plaza Mayor and finally we went for a walk in El Retiro
park.
The
efforts were well worth the excitement of the day!

European Day of Languages
The European Day of Languages is a yearly event held on 26 September. It celebrates the linguistic diversity of a continent with
-
over
200 European languages
-
24
official EU languages
-
about
60 regional/minority languages
-
and
many more spoken by people from other parts of the world
-
The
students had to write on different colourful pieces of papers their
personal desires for the new course or for our world. Each wish had
to be written in three European languages. On 25th September they
had to stick these messages on the wings of a big butterfly placed
in the hall of the school.
- Some students were filmed expressing their desires and the Day of Languages everybody could watch this video in television located in the entrance of the school

We are KA1!
IES Clot del Moro
has successfully applied for funding for a Erasmus+ Key Action 1
mobility project.
The funding covers study courses, observation, job
shadowing, training, and teaching for staff of the school. Mobility
projects are transnational, and so all project activity except
structured courses or training events involve at least two schools –
our own school and a partner school abroad.
Our mobility includes
participation in structured courses in Ireland, job
shadowing/observation periods in Italy and a teaching assignment in
the Czech Republic.
